It was a LONG DAY for me. I woke up at 8am on Friday morning to sms Jimmy to have a great trip to Vietnam. Then I went to school for lessons and went to Rainbow Centre to teach in the afternoon. It's the 1st time all of us had the chance to mingle around these special kids. Some of them are really adorable.. Some of them just makes me feel sad. I don't know how to help them at all.. I was thoroughly worn out by the 1st session because we had to be really enthusiastic and be at the level of the kids in order for them to understand us.
The 2nd group came and I was at lost of what to do. This kid just likes to crawl around and head towards the doors. He has no interest in balls, games or whatever that we had in store for him. So for the whole session, I chased after him and trying to stop him from getting out of the class. This kid has a twin brother who likes to dash for the door too.
Dear God, I pray that You'll give us the wisdom to help these beautiful souls that You've put on earth and give them opportunities to perform to their maximum potential. Help us to have patience and love for them.
After that, I thank God that my lecturer was kind to give me and my friends a lift. Initially I wanted to go for CGM straight from Queenstown, in the end, nobody wanna meet me for dinner. So I decided to go home since my lecturer can give us a lift. I went home, took a bath and had dinner with Ken before going Sembawang. When I crossed the road at Sembawang, it started pouring so heavily. I walked through the blocks and was stranded opposite my destination. Waited for a while and thank God again, the rain started to drizzle. I wasn't drenched when I reach Jason's house. God is sooooooo good to me!
Notice that this is a LONG entry? Well, I said it was a LONG day for me.. This is not the end.
After CGM, we went for overnight prayer meeting! I don't remember going for any overnight prayer meeting last year. So it's been a long time since I last prayed for so long and stood for so long. I was still pretty hyper after the 1st session.. Subsequently, my throat and legs were sore.. and I felt dizzy for a while. Thank God I made it till 5am! I prefer overnight prayer meeting to after service prayer meeting... Although the 1st step to decide to go and stay is always a tough one.
Anyway, Jimmy called me from Vietnam while we were on the way to church. It was so sweet of him. I miss him..
